Harrison, one of the most promising dj & vocalist in the EDM scene, was a rising star of rugby but an injury unfortunately interrupted his career as a rugby player.

After that injury his music interest grew up and thank to his collaboration together with the famous French dj David Guetta and the dutch duo GLOWINTHEDARK he proved the energy of his voice and his great skill.

At the beginning he practiced his vocal art in pub and restaurants, but his first real music experience started sending to Chuckie a track on which he was working.

Chuckie loved so much the track that he played it during his Ultra Music Festival set so David Guetta had the occasion to listen to it and that was the spark! “Ain’t Party” with David Guetta brought Harrison to collaborate even with Steve Aoki.

Thank to Chuckie support, Harrison met also Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, GLOWINTHEDARK (as we already mentioned before) and lots of others djs/producers of EDM scene.

And now Harrison collaborates for the second time with Hardwell and their track “Sally” is on Hardwell last album “United We Are”.

The protagonist of this interview took part in great events like Heiniken Music Hall where he performed live on the stage together with Hardwell, O2 Academy Brixton with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and also SW4 Festival with Steve Aoki.

We can start with the most interesting thing: the interview.

• Thanks for speaking to us today Harrison! ‘Sally’ has been a huge live hit and has also climbed the charts in places like the Netherlands, but who exactly is ‘Sally’? Is she based on a real person or is she purely fiction?

“Ahhhh that is the question on everyone’s mind, but will remain a secret ….”

• How has it been to be a part of ‘United We Are’ with ‘Sally’? How did you find working with such a big team?

“Amazing! The whole journey and experience has been all I could ever imagine. It was all very professional and everyone was so welcoming.”

• How did the collaboration with Hardwell come about?

“It started last summer when I showed Hardwell my version of ‘Sally’ and he loved the idea, so we expanded on it. The idea and track then grew after A.D.E weekend in Amsterdam.”

• Are you working on any solo productions at all? What can you tell us about those?

“Yes, there are a few pending Harrison tracks which are ready and hopefully killer tracks for the industry, some of them I’ve spent years on trying to perfect. I don’t want to spoil or give any hints just yet but I’ll be able to talk about them and play them out very soon! :D”

•  What can we expect at a Harrison live show?

“My main goal is always to try to connect with the fans through singing and creating tracks which get the fans involved, as well as incorporating classics that everyone knows mixed with my Harrison tracks.”

• How do you decide what to play in your live sets each time?

“It always depends on where I am performing and whether someone else is performing as well. If someone else is playing, I try to study their style of sets so that they don’t clash too often. I also always play my solo Harrison tracks out live to gain what works in a live setting.”

• How was it playing at the huge Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam recently? Was that the biggest show you had played to date?

“Indescribable, the atmosphere and the fans all singing along was amazing! Yes, this is the biggest show that I have been a part of – to date.”

• If you could play any event in the world, what would it be and why?

“Tomorrowland because Summer is the best time of the year for music and it also has a really exciting and high energy vibe as a festival. Also fans from all over the world fly in to have the best time of their lives and the benchmark they have set can’t be wrong!”

• What is in-store for Harrison over the Summer?

“A residency in Mallorca will be happening – although I can’t mention the venue just yet – and yes, I will definitely pop by to Ibiza a couple of times!”

• Are you planning on making a solo album?

“One day. My career is all still developing, but I keep in mind whether most tracks I have created are album worthy.”

• Finally, what does the future hold for Harrison?

“A few further collabs, as well as hopefully my own record label and of course, more solo Harrison tracks!”

Harrison, uno dei vocalist e dj più promettenti nel mondo dell’EDM, era una giovane promessa nel mondo del rugby, ma dopo un infortunio ha dovuto cancellare la sua carriera come giocatore di football americano.

Dopo quell’infortunio ha rivelato il suo interesse verso la musica e grazie alla collaborazione insieme al famoso dj francese David Guetta e il duo olandese GLOWINTHEDARK, lo ha confermato come una delle voci più forti da non sottovalutare.

Anche se lui trascorreva i suoi primi anni a praticare la sua arte vocale in pub e ristoranti, la sua prima vera esperienza nel settore della musica Dance è arrivata quando è stata mandata a Chuckie una traccia su cui lui stava lavorando.

Chuckie amava quella traccia talmente tanto che l’ha suonata nel suo set dell’Ultra Music Festival di Miami, e grazie a questo evento, Guetta ha sentito la canzone e da li le cose sono iniziate a decollare.

Poiché “Ain’t A Party” ha portato addirittura a collaborare Steve Aoki con Harrison.

Grazie alla traccia supportata da Chuckie, Harrison ha avuto incontri con Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, GLOWINTHEDARK e tanti altri dj/producer nel campo dell’EDM.

Harrison ha addirittura collaborato con il miglior deejay al mondo per la seconda volta di fila, ovvero Hardwell, finendo così nell’album ‘United We Are‘ con la traccia ‘Sally‘.

Il protagonista di questa intervista ha partecipato in grandi eventi come: l’Heineken Music Hall, dove si è esibito sul palco con Hardwell, O2 Academy Islington, Brixton Academy con Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, e infine nel SW4 festival con Steve Aoki.

Possiamo incominciare con la cosa che più ci interessa: l’intervista.

• Grazie per la sua disponibilità! “Sally” è stato un enorme successo dal vivo e ha scalato le classifiche in luoghi come i Paesi Bassi, ma chi è esattamente “Sally“? È una persona reale o è pura immaginazione? 

“Questa è la domanda che tutti si pongono, ma resta un segreto!” 

• Com’è stato far parte dell’album “United We Are” con “Sally”? Come hai trovato lavorare con un team così grande? 

“Stupendo! L’intero percorso e le esperienze sono state tutto quello che potevo solo immaginare fino a quel momento! È stato tutto professionale e tutti erano accoglienti.”

• Come è venuta fuori la sua collaborazione con Hardwell? 

“Tutto cominciò la scorsa estate quando mostrai la mia versione di Sally e lui la apprezzò molto, quindi ingrandimmo il progetto. L’idea e la traccia crebbero ancora, dopo l’ADE di Amsterdam.” 

• Sta lavorando a qualche canzone da solo? Cosa ci può dire riguardo ad esse? 

“Sì, ci sono un po’ di tracce che sono pronte, su alcune di esse mi sono impegnato molto tempo per perfezionarle. Non voglio anticiparvele o darvi un assaggio, ma ben presto le suonerò.”

• Cosa ci possiamo aspettare durante un live di Harrison? 

“Il mio più grande obiettivo è sempre quello di fondermi con i miei fans, cantando e creando tracce che coinvolgono i miei fans come ad esempio incorporando classici che chiunque conosce mixati con tracce di Harrison.” 

• Come decidi cosa suonare durante ogni tuo set? 

“Dipende sempre da dove suono e se qualcuno si esibisce prima o dopo di me, così se suona qualche altro cerco di studiare il suo stile in modo da non scontrarmi con loro.” 

• Come è stato suonare al grande Ziggo Dome ad Amsterdam? È stato il più grande spettacolo a cui tu hai partecipato? 

“È stato indescrivibile. L’atmosfera e i fan che cantavano tutti insieme erano stupendi! Sì è stato il miglior spettacolo a cui ho preso parte.”

• Se potessi suonare in qualsiasi evento, quale sceglieresti e perchè? 

” Tomorrowland, perchè l’estate è il miglior periodo per la musica ed è unico nel suo genere come festival, anche molti fans prendono l’aereo per andarci e per vivere la miglior esperienza della loro vita e il punto di riferimento che hanno fissato e non possono mancarci.” 

• Cosa hai intenzione di fare in estate? 

“Una residenza a Mallorca, sebbene non posso rivelare la sede ora, e si andrò definitivamente a Ibiza un po’ di volte.” 

• Hai intenzione di registrare un album? 

“Un giorno… La mia carriera è in crescita e terrò in mente le tracce che ho prodotto e valuterò se queste faranno parte del mio album.” 

• Infine, cosa riserva il tuo futuro? 

“Ulteriori tracce e spero una mia etichetta, ma sicuramente molte tracce.”
