He has become a valued artist for his remixes, his inimitable Progressive House sound points out the attention and approval of the greatest djs, from David Guetta to Tommy Ver, Porter Robinson and Excision.
Yeah exactly, we are talking about Lucky Date (real name Jordan Atkins-Loria), grew up in San Francisco where the rhythm has always been part of his life.
When he was only 5 he made a drum set and he immediately fell in love with music.
During High School he focused on production and after attending a scholastic program he learned to use Reason.
“I began attending raves in the Bay Area” he reminds Jordan.
“I was just attractively shocked by electronic music, especially listening to Benny Benassi”
He knew that his production would have been Hip Hop based, but he was too much nervous to test it.
After his move to Chicago he decided to make house music.
In 2010 Spencer & Hill chose his talent to a remix of ‘Dub Disco‘ and at the same time worked also as ‘Synth Engineer’ creating pre-set sound packages for David Guetta and others.
And he also created his own Youtube channel with his music and tutorial on how to make music and demo.
“I got people attention from my Youtube tutorial. When I made electronic music I searched for tutorial to learn and there weren’t many, so I began to make them on my own. I like teach!!!’

He wrote ‘Fall Into The Sky‘ together with Zedd and Ellie Goulding, speaking about life like a dream, melting lively acoustics with inevitable energies.

•  How was the collaboration “The End” with David Solano born?

“David sent me an idea a while back and I loved it, we spent a lot of time going back and forth and finally (after over a year) the track came together!”

• What other songs are you working on right now?

“I am working on more music right now than I ever have, I have three originals done, two in the works, two collabs in the works, and a remix I’m working on.”

• Whom would you like to collab with? And why?

“Most people I want to collab with I reach out to. I think its best to take a shot rather than miss a chance. I would definiatlly love to do a collab with Lana Del Rey, haven’t reached out to her though.”

• What advice do you have for up and coming producers that look up to you?

“Focus on what type of music makes YOU happy, don’t pay to much attention to the trends, learn to trust your ear and your heart.”

Esatto, stiamo parlando di Lucky Date (aka Jordan Atkins-Loria), cresciuto in San Francisco e con la musica nel sangue.

All’età di 5 anni, ha raccolto un drum set e immediatamente si è immerso nella musica.

Durante il liceo, la produzione divenne la sua passione e durante il dopo scuola ha imparato a usare Reason.

“Ho cominciato a frequentare raves nella Bay Area“, ricorda Jordan.

“Ero solo piacevolmente sconvolto dalla musica elettronica, in particolare sentendo qualcosa di Benny Benassi.”

Sapeva che la sua produzione sarebbe stata abbastanza simile all’Hip Hop, ma era troppo nervoso per provarlo.

Dopo il suo trasferimento a Chicago, ha deciso di fare musica House.

Nel 2010, Spencer & Hill incanalarono il suo talento per un remix di “Dub Disco” e Jordan contemporaneamente ha lavorato anche come “ingegnere” del Synth creando pacchetti di suoni preimpostati per David Guetta e altri.

Nello stesso tempo ha creato un canale su YouTube con la sua musica, tutorial su come fare musica e demo.

“Ho ricevuto l’attenzione della gente dai miei tutorial su YouTube. Quando stavo facendo musica elettronica, ho cercato un sacco di tutorial così da poter imparare ma purtroppo non c’erano molti tutorial. Così, ho cominciato a farli io. Mi piace insegnare.”

Eppure non c’è niente come la musica di Lucky Date.

Lui ha scritto ‘Fall Into The Sky‘ insieme a Zedd e Ellie Goulding; trattando la vita come un sogno, fondendo sonorità vorticose di energie inevitabili.

• Come è nata la collaborazione “The End ” con David Solano?

“David mi ha inviato un’idea tempo fa e mi è piaciuta molto! Abbiamo speso del tempo andando avanti e indietro (ragionandoci sopra) e infine (dopo più di un anno) il brano è venuto fuori.”

• A quali altre tracce musicali stai lavorando in questo momento?

“Sto lavorando su più musica adesso che quanto io abbia mai fatto! Ho 3 tracce già pronte, 2 in preparazione, 2 collaborazioni all’opera e un remix su cui sto lavorando.”

• Con chi ti piacerebbe collaborare e perché?

“La maggior parte delle persone con cui vorrei collaborare andrebbero prima raggiunte. Penso che sia meglio sparare un colpo piuttosto che perdere un’occasione. Vorrei definitivamente collaborare con Lana del Rey, ma penso di non aver ancora raggiunto il suo livello.”

• Che consiglio dai ai producers emergenti che ti seguono?

“Innanzitutto focalizzatevi sul tipo di musica che rende felice VOI STESSI, non pagate per raggiungere attenzione nelle classifiche e imparate a fidarvi del vostro orecchio e del vostro cuore.”
