The electronic synth-pop duo Rosa Ama are back with their highly anticipated “Oku” (Night Version) single via Casablanca Sunset Records.

The release comes after sharing both of their previous Rosa Ama singles, “Ethers” and “Lost on the People,” on Casablanca Sunset. However, the ‘Day Version’ of Oku was released in July of last summer on Kitsune Records as their debut single.

Rosa Ama is a collaboration between Berlin-based British songwriter David Harks and Belgian producer Vhyce. The two formed Rosa Ama in 2019 as a studio-based production project that evokes the spirits of classic uplifting soulful house with a nod to contemporary disco, electronica and pop.

On Oku Night, the duo navigates between smooth synth pop and funky house. Their cleverly crafted creation is highlighted by Harks’ buoyant soft falsetto vocal and Vhyce’s euphoric Ibiza inspired beats. Each delivering their own unique melodies melded together into one bouncy and groovy house single.

Over the last year, the two have seen support online from a variety of music blogs and playlists including coverage from Do You Like That Song, Le Visiteur, Sidekick Music, The Burning Ear, Acid Stag, Obscure Sound, Indietronica, Surviving the Golden Age, Perfect Havoc, and Satin Jackets’ “Nu Disco” Spotify playlist. The Day Version of “Ethers” is also slotted to be featured in Vinyl Moon’s upcoming monthly vinyl compilation.

Both Harks and Vhyce also released singles’ last month on Belgian-label Boogie Angst. Vhyce’s single “Lost Our Minds” reached #1 on the Hype Machine popular charts.
