Heartbreaker (Michael Calfan Remix)
Today, hit-making singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist dance producer, Daniel Blume releases the Michael Calfan remix of latest love song for the dance floor, ‘Heartbreaker’.
With the original track on repeat across playlists since it’s release and approaching half a million streams already, Daniel Blume has teamed up with sought-after French DJ & super producer Michael Calfan for this rework. A house music trailblazer, Michael Calfan has been making a name for himself in the dance music scene with his unique style that blurs the boundaries of pop and underground electronics; perfectly placing him for a Daniel Blume remix. Having collaborated with David Guetta and Martin Solveig and remixed tracks for Calvin Harris, Rag’n’Bone Man, Major Lazer & Labrinth, Michael Calfan has turned his hand to ‘Heartbreaker’ effectively transforming the track while perfectly blending elements of the original to create this remix.
‘Heartbreaker’ is the latest instalment to Daniel Blume’s impressive portfolio of sad songs that bang; which includes global smash and Cheat Codes collaboration ‘Who’s Got Your Love’ which has racked over 60 million global streams topping the US Billboard Dance charts, and recent releases, ‘Nights Like This’ & ‘Catch Feelings’.
Initial Positiva releases have cemented Daniel Blume’s reputation as one of the most exciting breaking artists in his native Ireland. Described as ‘Dublin’s answer to Calvin Harris after swapping classical training for electronic ‘sad songs that bang’ (Sunday Times Culture Ireland) he has climbed Shazam, Spotify & airplay charts across the country. While continuing to gain a number of convincing accolades internationally; from co-producing Ella Henderson‘s new single ‘Take Care Of You’ written with Julia Michaels (Shawn Mender, Justin Bieber, Gwen Stefani), to going on tour with Jax Jones, and being named ‘One To Watch’ by MTV, Official Charts and RTE 2FM.
Given his talent for creating modernist dance, Blume’s background might come as a surprise. His classical training began as a child when he earned a place at the world-renowned Yehudi Menuhin School. He studied guitar and piano, his education funded via a scholarship set up by The Rolling Stones. At the age of 15 he won the BBC’s Young Composer of the Year award and a glittering career in the world of classical music seemed to be his destiny. But by that point, Blume was already enamoured by the world of electronic music. Martin Garrix’s ‘Animals’ being the track that rewrote his future.
With a series of new releases confirmed throughout the year; including an EP of tracks written and produced as part his interactive series ‘You gave me a title, I made a song’, (which gives an insight into the behind-the-scenes processes of his artistry as he produces brand new floor fillers in under an hour based on fan suggestions); it’s only a matter of time before his insistent earworms become chart-bound anthems.
