Nas, DJ Semtex and Rag ‘n’ Bone man championed UK rapper, BiG HEATH, has released SWiTCH SiDES featuring Mancunian Emcee Geko.
Produced by Show N Prove (J Hus, Stefflon Don, Giggs), SWiTCH SiDES ft. Geko was premiered last night by Charlie Sloth on his show ‘The 8th’, broadcasted simultaneously on Radio 1Xtra and Radio 1.
The video for SWiTCH SiDES was shot in Bow, East London and directed by Henry Smith and BiG HEATH.
A rapper hailing not from an inner city, but rather the quiet suburbia of Cambridge, BiG HEATH is not only comfortable with being different, he embraces it, delivering rhymes that veer from the well-trodden ground of the ‘road’.

Having first started rapping at the age of 10 – when he realized it helped him overcome his stutter – BiG HEATH got his first break as an artist in 2017 when he was booked for notable support slots with Nas and Freddie Gibbs. It was his live performance at Nas’ show in Liverpool that caught the attention of DJ Semtex, and by early 2018 BiG HEATH’s self-released single ‘SWiTCH SiDES’ was on heavy rotation at BBC 1Xtra. Plaudits from the likes of Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and Tinie Tempah followed, with critics earmarking him as the “next one up” who is showcasing a different side to the UK Rap scene.

Keeping up the momentum this year, BiG HEATH recently opened the main stage at Wireless – when he was brought out by Semtex – and will be performing on the Radio 1Xtra stage at Reading & Leeds Festival. Having inked a deal with Polydor Records and hunkered down in the studio with Show N Prove (J Hus, Stefflon Don, Giggs), Ishi (Usher, Ne-Yo, Wretch 32), Abaz (Tory Lanez, T-Pain, Gucci Maine), he is set to release his debut EP in September. The new version of SWiTCH SiDES, now featuring Geko, is the first cut to be taken from this upcoming EP.
